Henvey Inlet First Nation (HIFN) Band Council developed an environmental stewardship framework to assess and regulate Henvey Inlet Wind. The Land Laws setting out this framework may be viewed here.

The Environmental Assessment (EA) requires a determination of environmental effects related to the construction, operation and eventual decommissioning of the Henvey Inlet Wind Energy Centre. Reports created for the Environmental Assessment permitting process are available below.

Consultation with the Membership occurred in advance of the Band issuing an EA Permit. The Band obtained the authority to issue its own EA Permit under the First Nations Lands Management Act.
